About the Role

We are looking for an accomplished Head of AI to lead the design and delivery of an ambitious AI strategy for a leading financial services organisation. This is a senior leadership position combining technical depth with strategic vision, where you will shape how AI transforms products, processes, and customer experiences.

What You'll Do

Develop and implement a comprehensive AI roadmap aligned with business objectives.
Design and oversee scalable AI systems, including advanced machine learning models, automation tools, and generative AI applications.
Build and manage a high-performing team of AI engineers, data scientists, and product specialists.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to embed AI into core business platforms and services.
Establish governance frameworks to ensure ethical, compliant, and secure AI deployment.
Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies and translating research into practical solutions.
Represent the organisation externally as a thought leader in AI, engaging with industry forums and technology communities.

What We're Looking For

Advanced academic background (PhD or MSc) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related discipline.
Proven track record of leading AI initiatives in a complex or regulated environment.
Strong technical expertise in machine learning, NLP, and scalable architectures.
Familiarity with modern AI frameworks and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
