We are a specialist contractor with a strong order book secured well into the latter part of the year and beyond. We deliver expert services across hydrodemolition, robotic demolition, and concrete preparation. With safety, innovation, and quality at the core of everything we do, we are now looking to grow our team with the addition of an experienced Hydrodemolition Engineer.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering hydrodemolition works on a variety of projects, ensuring high standards of workmanship, efficiency, and safety. You will work with advanced hydrodemolition and robotic equipment to remove defective concrete, prepare surfaces for reinstatement, and support structural refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out hydrodemolition and robotic demolition works in line with project specifications and safety regulations.

  • Operate robotic hydrodemolition equipment and associated plant with precision and care.

  • Undertake concrete removal and surface preparation to the required standards.

  • Carry out routine maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting of hydrodemolition equipment.

  • Work as part of a team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

  • Follow company and client health & safety policies, including correct use of PPE.

  • Complete daily records, reporting, and equipment logs accurately.

  • Liaise with site supervisors, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Travel to various project sites as required (occasional overnight stays may be necessary).

    Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in hydrodemolition, concrete removal, surface preparation, or robotic demolition.

  • Competent in operating robotic hydrodemolition equipment (e.g., Aquajet or similar systems).

  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices in demolition and construction.

  • Ability to read and interpret method statements, risk assessments, and technical drawings.

  • Physically fit, with the ability to work in challenging environments.

  • Flexible and adaptable with a positive, team-focused attitude.

    Desirable Qualifications (training can be provided where required)

  • NVQ in Demolition Operations / Construction Plant Operations or equivalent.

  • CSCS Card (Skilled Worker or above).

  • CPCS / NPORS for plant or robotic equipment.

  • Confined Space, Manual Handling, and Working at Height training.

  • SSSTS or similar site safety training.

  • Full UK driving licence.
