Installation & Service Technician (Conveyor Systems & Breakdown Support)
Location: Templecombe, Somerset
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and hands-on Installation & Service Technician to join our friendly team. We are a well-established, family-run business specialising in the manufacture and installation of bulk feed silos and conveying systems for the agricultural sector.

The Role
As an Installation & Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and occasional repair of auger and feed conveying systems on agricultural sites, predominantly across southern England. You will also support emergency breakdown call-outs and, where necessary, lead a two-person team during installations.

Key Responsibilities:
*Install auger and feed conveying systems, including to robotic milking machines and batch feeding equipment.
*Perform routine service visits and respond to emergency breakdowns (part of on-call rota).
*Fabricate parts in the workshop as required.
*Maintain accurate records of parts used, hours worked, and job progress.
*Monitor and manage van stock levels and support stock control in the auger store.
*Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, including on-site risk assessments.
*Keep tools, workshop, and van in good working condition.

About You:
We're looking for a proactive, self-motivated individual with strong practical skills and a solution-focused approach.

Essential:
*Relevant experience in mechanical installations or agricultural equipment.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills.
*Willingness to travel and participate in out-of-hours breakdown support.

Desirable:
*Basic knowledge of electrical control systems for motors.
*Experience leading or supervising a small team.
