Job Overview: Our client, a successful injection moulding company supplying to a variety of industries, are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Team.

Remit:

  • As Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs to mechanical, Pneumatic and electrical on-site equipment and automation cells.

  • You will have strong electrical/mechanical applications with proven experience of problem solving, fault finding and repairing of injection moulding manufacturing machinery as well as robots, automated systems and assembly lines.

    Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and fault-find mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime

  • Repair and maintain injection moulding machines, dryers, conveyors, granulators, temperature controllers and industrial robots.

  • Support tooling changeovers and troubleshoot mould-related issues where required

  • Carry out routine inspections, condition monitoring, and preventative maintenance

  • Identify recurring faults and propose permanent corrective actions

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and performance

    Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Injection Moulding manufacturing

  • You will ideally have a 16th, 17th or 18th Edition electrical installation certificate

  • You will have a good mechanical application and experience / working understanding with hydraulics and/or pneumatics

  • You will have good proven experience with PLC’s and 3 Phase Ladder Logic fault-finding & problem-solving

  • You will have good clear communication skills for interacting with your team and other department Managers.

  • It is expected that you will have good IT skills with MS Office & Word

  • Experience of training/mentoring Apprentices would be advantageous
