Are you a driven and experienced Maintenance Manager looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced automated logistics environment?

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the on-site maintenance operations at a high-performance distribution centre in Daventry. The site operates a sophisticated automated materials handling system supporting a major logistics network across the UK. With potential for expansion into 24/7 operations, your leadership will be key in maintaining high system availability and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

As Maintenance Manager, you will be the central point of contact for all operational and technical matters on site. Your role will include:

Leading and managing a dedicated on-site service team
Ensuring contract delivery, cost control, and budget management
Maintaining strong relationships with the customer and suppliers
Driving continuous improvement in system performance and team operations
Fostering a culture of safety and compliance in line with internal SQE standardsRequirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in automated systems. Ideal candidates will have:

HNC (or equivalent) in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering
Proven experience in a similar leadership role within an automated plant or comparable industrial setting
Strong technical understanding of PLCs, conveyor systems, lifting/hoisting equipment, pneumatics/hydraulics, and network communications (e.g., Profibus, Fibre-Optics, Interbus)
Knowledge of WCS/WMS systems and Health & Safety legislation
