This is a Dayshift onsite role (11am - 11pm, 3 days on and 3 days off) offers a competitive salary plus a 32% shift premium.

Main responsibilities will include:

Safe and efficient operation of the steriliser, internal and external conveyors, loading and unloading goods and material handling equipment.
Perform all necessary Loading and Unloading entries and dosimetry entries and retrieve all appropriate computer print outs in the dosimetry system.
Ensure compliance with all Radiological Local rules and Radiological Protection Principles if identified as an Authorised Steriliser operator.
Ensure Safe and efficient receiving, picking and loading/unloading of vehicles and the location of products in Finished Goods designated areas.
Ensure Safe and efficient operation of mechanical handling equipment. I.e. counterbalance trucks, pallet truck, reach truck, tug and trailers.
Undertake weekly routine maintenance on machinery and equipment as described in written procedures.
Maintain records and logs associated with the material transfer, disposition, movement and location of Finished Goods according to established procedures.
Reporting of safety hazards and operating difficulties and improvement opportunities to the Team Leader as a priority.
Perform all necessary SAP transactions relating to the sterilisation of product.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Team Leader to ensure the safe and efficient use of resources in order to meet Production, Sterilisation and shipping deadlines.
Ensure general housekeeping, cleanliness and waste handling in accordance with 5S GMP and Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
Support manufacturing with timely supply of raw materials and removal of finished product to pre sterile area of warehouse as and when required.
Responsible for safekeeping and proper usage of company provided Personal radiological monitoring equipment and personal protective equipment.
Reporting damage, malfunction or any safety related issues immediately to the appropriate person.
Handle Hazardous & General Waste on site in accordance to BD Procedures.
Monitor the transfer of materials between both Buildings as and when required.

About you:

Must hold/or previously held a valid forklift license is essential.
Must undergo and pass an annual company provided 'radiological' and 'machine operation' health assessment in compliance with HSE regulations.
Must continue to pass/complete all relevant health assessment requirements on a regular basis.
Must be able to comprehend and follow all radiological protection principles.
Experience in a Warehouse / production environment is desirable.
SAP computer skills or a similar products, is a distinct advantage.
Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams with good people skills
