A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a highly respected and well-established manufacturing business operating within the health, personal care, and consumer goods sectors. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for a hands-on engineer looking to play a key role in driving performance and reliability in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Based at a large-scale manufacturing facility in Folkestone, you'll be working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12-hour shifts, days and nights rotation), reporting to the site's Engineering Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair all production and plant equipment, supporting site OEE targets
Execute maintenance activities across the site in line with planned schedules and plant needs
Conduct regular testing and inspections to ensure plant performance and compliance
Troubleshoot issues, including PLCs and robotic systems, with root cause analysis and permanent fixes
Work closely with Production and Packaging teams to support efficient changeovers and minimise downtime
Uphold GMP, hygiene, health & safety, and environmental standards across all activities
Support continuous improvement and SMED initiatives to increase efficiency and reliability
Contribute to training and development plans for operators and peers, sharing knowledge and expertise
Lead effective communication during shift handovers and across departmentsWhat's on Offer

Proven experience in a similar role within an automated FMCG manufacturing environment
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
Ideally holds 17th Edition Electrical Qualification
Strong experience in reactive, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance
Capable of resolving complex technical issues independently
Working knowledge of PLCs, robotics, continuous improvement, and SMED projects
COSHH awareness and strong understanding of site H&S responsibilities
