Maintenance Engineer

Location: Wartle

Salary: Upto £45,000

Shift: Earlies

The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a dedicated engineering team. You'll be responsible for a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks across a busy manufacturing site. This includes both production equipment and site facilities.

Working independently and as part of a small team, you'll ensure that machinery and systems run efficiently with minimal downtime, supporting continuous operations and improvements across the site.

Key Responsibilities For The Maintenance Engineer:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
Diagnose faults and repair breakdowns on a range of mechanical and electrical equipment
Support site operations including building and facilities maintenance
Assist with improvement projects, installations, and upgrades
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and comply with H&S procedures
Machinery Involved:

Robotic systems (molding and palletising)
Conveyor systems, sealing machines, shrink wrappers
Spiral freezers, ammonia refrigeration plant
Process systems with PLC control (recipe input and automation)
Other equipment including turning machines, metal detectors, refining and homogenising machines
About The Maintenance Engineer:

Time-served or qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ, HNC, or similar)
Hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment
Confident working with both mechanical and electrical systems
Able to manage early starts and work independently when required
Safety- and quality-conscious with strong problem-solving skills
