Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to announce that we are working exclusively on behalf of a long established Tier 1 Automotive manufacturer engineering organisation to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis.

LOCATION: Sunderland

SALARY: Competitive

LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Permanent

ROLE SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Technical Supervisor, the role requires a hardworking Maintenance Technician who can work well under pressure and to all deadlines, quality and safety standards.

DUTIES ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Responsible for Inspecting, testing and maintaining all electrical, mechanical and robotic equipment.

  • Responsible for the installation, calibration and maintenance of company equipment.

  • To ensure full reactive and planned maintenance of electrical, mechanical and robotic equipment is complete and in a timely manner.

  • To fully support installation and improvement projects.

  • To make recommendations regarding potential improvements to techniques, methods, processes/procedures, equipment and safety.

  • Fault diagnosis and rectification of plant equipment.

  • Oversee introduction of all new plant equipment.

  • Attend design reviews, 8D, OEE and production meetings as required.

  • Adhering to 5s in all aspects of the role.

  • To represent the Company in a positive and professional manner at all times.

  • To adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.

  • To adhere to the Company Health and Safety Policy at all times.

  • Work to IATF standards and procedures.

  • Ensure all reporting and documentation is complete within time.

  • Communicate with all departments to meet objectives and reduce downtime.

  • Available to support overtime.

  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by your line Manager.

    TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • ONC/HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent

  • Knowledge of IATF 16949: 2016

  • Proven track record, ideally in a fast-paced Automotive manufacturing environment

  • Problem solving skills

  • Ability to communicate to all levels, internally and externally

  • A good team player

  • Ability to support the management team

  • Adaptability and flexibility

  • Ability to use IT programs – Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Flexibility to cover shift patterns and overtime
