We are expanding our future talent pool of Multiskilled Maintenance Technicians and Engineers who are interested in joining Nexperia's Equipment Maintenance teams in the future. This role will specialise in the repair and maintenance of high-tech tools within the fab on a busy manufacturing site where over 14,000 semiconductor wafers are made each week.

What you will do

As a Multiskilled Equipment Engineering Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the manufacturing operations team in routine maintenance activities, breakdowns, and root cause analysis of complex wafer fab equipment. You will perform root cause analysis to complete repairs efficiently whilst understanding how maintenance performed can affect product output and yield. You will be expected to optimize and improve the maintenance procedures using the key performance indicators available whilst maintaining housekeeping standards and effective maintenance spares stock control to 5s standards. As an Equipment Engineering Technician, you will also utilise the factory's Manufacturing Execution Systems to execute preventative maintenance schedules and update equipment histories by observing health and safety directives.

Please note that in this position, you will be provided with comprehensive training in specialist semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities will include:



Preventative Maintenance: Assist in the planning and execution of preventative maintenance activities, ensuring that all equipment is operating at peak performance

Maintenance & Repairs: Carry out maintenance procedures and root cause analysis on a variety of diffusion wafer processing equipment, ensuring rapid and effective resolution of issues

Spare Stock Control: Manage spare parts efficiently, ensuring stock levels are maintained and materials are readily available when needed

Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict health and safety directives while carrying out all maintenance and repair work

*

KPI Improvement: Analyse data to identify opportunities for cost-effective maintenance programs that improve equipment performance and drive KPIs forward

*

Team Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships with internal team members and external specialists to ensure smooth operations and effective problem-solving

This role will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to build your skillset in Equipment engineering and maintenance in the fast-paced and exciting semiconductor industry. What you will need

Completed a mechanical, electrical, or multiskilled apprenticeship and educated to a minimum of ONC standard or have worked at a similar level within an engineering environment

*

Experience in maintaining and repairing equipment such as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, vacuum, pneumatic, actuation, or similar

*

Valued industry backgrounds include: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, high volume FCMG, light robotics, mechanical and Armed forces equipment engineering

*

You must be able to work a rotating shift pattern, inclusive of nights and days 4 days on and 4 days off

*

Soft skills of adaptability, problem-solving, and teamwork

*

Experience in working to deadlines and managing your workload

*

Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office packages

*

Desire to learn and progress (with full training provided)
