We are currently looking to recruit a Plant Support Engineer for a West Midland based tier 1 supplier of injection moulded assemblies, supplying across the UK automotive sector.
Working across x3 shift system, 6-2, 2-10, and 10-6, the Plant Support Engineer, you will work closely with Launch/NPI Teams with close collaboration with maintenance engineering teams.
The Plant Support engineer will?
• Have the ability to read and interpret PLC code to fault find mainly on Siemens)
• Assist key functions in the launch team on problem resolution on PLCs.
• Fully understand movement and recovery of a robotic systems within both manufacturing and assembly facility
• Have excellent understanding of error messages and identify route cause and solutions to reduce failures within the manufacturing facility.
• Have a clear and detailed awareness of vision systems and sensors), couple with the ability to diagnose faults across all sensors/camera vision systems to aid right first time
The successful candidate will have solid understand of Siemens S7 in line with TIA Portal and be versed in one or more of the following; Kepware, Sorion, ABB Robots, FANUC Robots.
The Plant Support Engineer will be able to demonstrate significant experience working in an automotive and engineering environment, with particular awareness of Robotic systems, fault finding and general maintenance (PPM)
• You will have knowledge of PLC programming and fault finding through to fix.
• Programming and fault-finding knowledge (S& & TIA Portal)
• A clear understanding and ability to apply PFMEA logic to identify and manage risk/feasibility.
• Good knowlegde of Keyence and Vision/ Camera and Sensor Systems would be desirable/
