Murray Recruitment are recruiting a Project Manager for our client based in West Lothian.
Role Overview:
This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the successful delivery of engineering and automation projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and positive client engagement throughout.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and manage projects using digital tools.
  • Create and maintain project documentation including Gantt charts, MQPs, and risk registers.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients on non-technical and commercial project matters.
  • Chair kick-off meetings and maintain structured customer updates.
  • Monitor and report on commercial progress including invoicing, procurement, and payment tracking.
  • Forecast engineering resource capacity and manage schedule expectations.
  • Prepare and present monthly project health reports.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality management standards.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements within the business.
    Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in project management within an engineering or technical environment.
  • Strong organisational and planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in project budgets and negotiations.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation, control systems, or similar fields is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and health & safety regulations is advantageous.
    Offering:
  • Salary up to £43,000 depending on experience.
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (typically 08:30–16:30), with flexibility required to meet operational needs, including occasional travel.
  • Flexible working options available post-probation, including a 9-day fortnight.
  • 25 days annual leave plus 4 statutory days, increasing to 30 with service
  • Monthly salary payments and reimbursed business expenses.
  • Pension scheme with up to 4.5% employer contribution (post-probation).
  • Death in Service benefit (2x salary) and access to 24/7 wellbeing support services.
  • Cycle to Work scheme available
