Resident Site Engineer, P&G, Manchester. You will be working a rotating shift pattern with a combination of days and nights within a small team of Engineers. Working 7 days and 7 nights - in a 28 day period make this an attractive opportunity.

Key Responsibilities for Resident Site Engineer / Maintenance Engineer

  • Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, undertaking scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.
  • Electrical and Mechanical breakdown and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on a variety of automated machinery, to include automated storage and retrieval systems, chain and roller conveyors, gravity roller conveyors and cranes.
  • Completing all work safely and on time, whilst ensuring quality of output at all times.
  • You will be involved in continuous improvement projects.
  • Able to represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain excellent customer relations, ensuring that all decisions that are made on site are always with the customer in mind.
    What you need to succeed in this role
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
  • Happy to work at heights.
  • This is a customer facing role, so you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Able to work alone and as part of a team.
