Responsibilities

This role focuses on the development of autonomous systems to address real‑world challenges in maritime robotics. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and testing perception, navigation, planning, exploration, and control systems for robotic systems operating in complex environments. The ideal candidate has experience delivering production‑level autonomy solutions and working across the entire robotics systems development lifecycle, from design and integration to testing and deployment in real‑world trials.

Qualifications

Essential skills: Proven track record in successful robotic products; strong understanding of robotics principles (vehicle dynamics, control, sensor fusion, state estimation); proficiency in ROS2 and Linux/Ubuntu; experience with OpenCV, PCL, Eigen, Numpy, Docker; strong communication and collaboration; field trials experience.

Desirable skills: ML‑based solutions in perception, control, decision making; simulation tools (Gazebo, NVIDIA Isaac, PyBullet); maritime industry experience; mentoring junior engineers; remote/offshore deployment.
