We're seeking a talented Senior Structural Engineer to join the Building Structures team of our client in in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a growing company with an excellent reputation in South Wales.
Our client are a leading engineering consultancy firm in South Wales, with a commitment to excellence and a recent investment in training for all staff; they pride themselves on creating environments where their employees can thrive and make a significant impact. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will work within a talented and collaborative team of engineers and technicians, playing a key role in delivering high-quality design solutions. You will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, given responsibility to lead with clients, and work on a variety of challenging projects that make a real impact on the built environment.
We are looking for an engineer who has a strong technical background, with experience in the design of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures. While Chartered status with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) is preferred, it’s not essential—what matters most is your passion for excellence and ability to deliver quality results This role offers you the chance to grow professionally and take on greater responsibilities - the ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving abilities and the confidence to liaise with clients and contractors.     What You Need To Succeed
  • Proven experience in structural design, with knowledge of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Tekla, Robot or MasterSeries.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, Design Standards, Codes of Practice and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Commitment to high-quality design and continuous professional development.
  • Chartered (or working towards) with IStructE or ICE.
  • MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
