Looking for more than repetitive production wiring?

This is an opportunity to join a growing engineering business where you'll work on bespoke automated machinery that is designed and built from scratch. No two projects are the same, giving you the chance to continually develop your electrical skills while working alongside experienced engineers in a supportive, close-knit team.

Whether you've completed an apprenticeship, have experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring or machine building, this role offers genuine long-term career development with a company that values practical ability, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

The Role

Working from engineering drawings and build documentation, you'll help assemble and wire a variety of automated machinery and production equipment, ensuring every machine leaves the workshop to the highest standard.

Day to day you'll be:

  • Wiring electrical panels and complete machines.
  • Installing electrical components, sensors, motors and control equipment.
  • Assembling and connecting pneumatic systems.
  • Carrying out electrical testing and basic fault finding during the build process.
  • Supporting machine testing alongside experienced Controls Engineers.
  • Helping identify improvements to build quality and assembly processes.
  • Occasionally assisting with installations and commissioning at customer sites when required.

What We're Looking For

You'll already have some hands-on electrical assembly experience and be keen to continue developing your career within a specialist engineering environment.

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in areas such as:

  • Electrical assembly.
  • Panel wiring.
  • Machine wiring.
  • Industrial electrical installation.
  • Manufacturing or automation environments.
  • Apprentice-trained electricians looking to move into machine build.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in producing quality work and wants to learn from an experienced engineering team.

Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career with an ambitious engineering business that continues to invest in its people and technology.

You'll benefit from:

  • Varied work on bespoke automation projects rather than repetitive production tasks.
  • Ongoing training and support from experienced engineers.
  • Exposure to modern automation and robotic machinery.
  • A friendly, collaborative workshop environment where ideas are welcomed.
  • Genuine opportunities to develop your technical skills as the business continues to grow. The business is looking for someone with potential who wants to build a career, not just fill a vacancy.

Package

  • £32,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
  • Regular overtime available

If you're looking for an opportunity where you can continue developing your electrical skills, work on interesting engineering projects and become part of a business with exciting plans for the future, we'd love to hear from you.
