Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Manufacturing) Up to 50k + Benefits

Location: North West (Primary Manufacturing Site)

Hours: On-site | Day Shift (6:00am–2:00pm / 8:00am–4:00pm – to be discussed)

An established and growing manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join its expanding engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful organisation that is undergoing significant investment, modernisation, and business growth. You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving a wide range of industrial manufacturing equipment while contributing to exciting machinery upgrades, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Working across two manufacturing sites (with one primary site but all ‘close’(drivable) in the North West, you'll become part of a proactive engineering team focused on maximising plant reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on a variety of industrial machinery.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and integration of new equipment and production lines.
  • Work alongside the projects team on machinery upgrades, site improvements, and engineering initiatives.
  • Minimise downtime through effective fault finding and root cause analysis.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and operations teams.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health & safety legislation and engineering best practice.

Skills & Experience

  • HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills on production machinery.
  • Knowledge ofPLCs, motors, drives/inverters, pumps, sensors and encoders.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and carry out circuit modifications.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive, team-focused approach.

Desirable

  • Experience fault finding on Siemens PLC systems.
  • Knowledge of extrusion or continuous process manufacturing.
  • Comfortable working in a business experiencing growth and operational change.
