Are you a hands-on Field Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Electrical Engineer looking for an international role working on advanced industrial equipment?

We are supporting a growing engineering business that delivers high-value capital equipment and automated systems across the UK, Europe, and globally. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a multi-skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team.

This is a field-based role offering a high level of autonomy, regular international travel, and the opportunity to work on complex electro-mechanical and PLC-controlled systems.

The Role:

  • You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and servicing equipment at customer sites across the UK and EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Installation and commissioning of electro-mechanical and automated equipment
  • Fault finding across electrical, mechanical, and control systems
  • Working with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and P&ID drawings
  • Producing service reports and technical documentation
  • Supporting customers with technical training and on-site expertise

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, or Commissioning Engineer
  • Strong electrical bias with supporting mechanical knowledge
  • Experience working with PLC-controlled systems (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar)
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment such as pumps, valves, pneumatics, or steam systems
  • Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 25-30%)
