A fantastic opportunity has arisen for aMechanical Bias Site Engineer to join a highly automated, fast-paced warehouse environment in Minworth. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop within a modern, forward-thinking operation that is heavily invested in automation and continuous improvement.

This role offers clear progression routes, ongoing training, and the chance to work on advanced automated systems within a supportive on-site team.

You will be responsible for carrying outmechanical maintenance, fault finding, and planned preventative maintenance, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency across automated warehouse equipment and systems.

Sector – FMCG (Automated)Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Site Engineer
  • Mechanically biased maintenance experience

  • Experience working within amanufacturing or automated environment

  • MinimumNVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering

  • Experience carrying outplanned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced environment

Requirements for the Site Engineer
  • Strong hands-onmechanical fault-finding skills (bearings, belts, chains, rollers, pneumatics, etc.)

  • Basic electrical fault-finding capability (motors, sensors, relays, contactors)

  • Experience working with automated or materials handling equipment (desirable)

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team

Desirable Requirements
  • Experience within automated warehouse, FMCG, or distribution environments

  • Previous experience working on cranes or high-level automated systems

  • Experience using CMMS or maintenance management systems
