Manufacturing & Production Trainee | Yate, Bristol | £20,000 – £24,000 DOE & Benefits

Start Your Career in Robotics & Manufacturing

Interested in how things are built? Love technology, engineering, or working hands-on? Looking for a role where you can learn real skills and build a long-term career?

Our client is looking for a Manufacturing & Production Trainee to join their growing workshop team in Bristol, helping build cutting-edge robotic camera systems used in film and TV productions around the world.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the start of their career who is practical, curious, and eager to learn. You don’t need previous experience — they’ll provide full training — but you do need a positive attitude, good attention to detail, and a genuine interest in engineering and manufacturing.

About the Company

They create innovative robotic technology for the film and television industry. They are the creators of the AGITO robotic dolly system and are recognised as global leaders in robotic camera movement.

Their team combines engineering, filmmaking, technology, and innovation to build products used on major productions worldwide. They’re a fast-growing company with ambitious plans and a collaborative, hands-on culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working alongside an experienced manufacturing team, you’ll be trained to support:

  • Preparing parts and kits for assembly
  • Product assembly using hand and power tools
  • Mechanical and electrical sub-assembly work
  • Testing and quality control checks
  • Updating stock and production systems
  • General workshop and production support
  • No two days are the same, and you’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of practical engineering and manufacturing tasks.

You will do 4 long days Mon – Thurs, with an early finish on Friday.

What We’re Looking For

We’re more interested in attitude and potential than previous experience. The ideal person will be:

  • Keen to learn and develop new skills
  • Interested in engineering, robotics, manufacturing, or technology
  • Practical and hands-on
  • A strong team player with good communication skills
  • Organised, reliable, and willing to get stuck in
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience isn’t required — full training will be provided.

Why Join?

  • Learn valuable hands-on manufacturing and engineering skills
  • Work on exciting robotics products used in film and TV
  • Join a supportive and experienced team
  • Genuine opportunities for long-term career progression
  • Be part of a growing technology business with big ambitions
  • This role is based at their Yate workshop in Bristol, working 7.5 hours per day with some flexibility around working times.

What’s on Offer?

  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Private Health Care options
  • Team days, cake & cuppa monthly meet ups
  • Off road parking
  • Bonus profit scheme
  • Annual pay reviews

As part of the interview process, shortlisted candidates will complete a practical skills assessment.

This isn’t a pass/fail test — it simply helps to understand your starting point and how they can support your development.

Where to Advertise Robotics Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise robotics jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, university channels and community routes that reach robotics, SLAM and controls talent. The candidate pool spans mechanical engineers, software developers, controls specialists, computer vision researchers and systems integrators — a multidisciplinary mix that general job boards are poorly equipped to reach. The strongest robotics candidates are often embedded in research groups, defence programmes or advanced manufacturing environments, and move between roles through specialist networks and industry events rather than mainstream platforms. This guide, published by RoboticsJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise robotics roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
