Test Engineer Manchester / Cheltenham (Hybrid & Client Site Travel)

About the Role We’re looking for a talentedTest Engineer to join a collaborative, cross-functional engineering team working on high-impact, complex systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring quality is built into every stage of delivery—helping shape testing strategies, building automation frameworks, and uncovering issues before they reach production.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Designing and executingmanual and automated tests across complex systems
  • Developing and enhancingtest automation frameworks
  • Performingexploratory and risk-based testing to identify edge cases
  • Collaborating closely with engineers to improvetestability and overall quality
  • Drivingcontinuous improvement across tools, frameworks, and testing practices

Skills & Experience You don’t need to have everything listed—what matters most is a solid foundation and a willingness to grow.
Technical Experience (any of these)
  • Programming or scripting (Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript)
  • Testing modern web applications (Angular, React, Vue)
  • Automation tools such asCypress, Cucumber, Robot Framework
  • Experience building or improvingtest frameworks
  • Strong understanding ofexploratory and risk-based testing
Desirable (nice to have)
  • Exposure toDocker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure
  • Familiarity with modern tech stacks (e.g.MERN, Elasticsearch, Neo4J)
Security & Location Requirements
  • UK Citizen with 10+ years UK residency
  • Must holdhigh-level UK security clearance (active)
  • Comfortable travelling toManchester or Cheltenham sites
