JOB- Area Sales Manager

LOCATION- West Midlands

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

PACKAGE - Commission, Company Car, Healthcare

My client works within the engineering manufacturing sector and they are looking to take on an Area Sales Manager with an electrical technical background, on a permanent basis, to cover the West Midlands area.

The Area Sales Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

Previous experience working in a Field Sales role or similar in the electrical or automation sector
Qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar)
Knowledge of PLC’s, inverter drives, relays, sensors would be ideal
Previous exposure to selling to OEM’s would be ideal
Have worked with a CRM system before
Full UK Driving Licence is essential
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude to develop business and Accounts
Be keen to develop with the company long term – there are progression opportunities tooThe Area Sales Manager role will involve:

Selling industrial automation components to companies
Winning new business and developing Accounts further
Managing your own diary – 1 day WFH and then out on the road for the rest of the week visiting customer sites
Achieving and exceeding sales targets that are set on a monthly and yearly basis
Working with the internal technical support and product management teams to ensure customer satisfaction
Working to always achieve sales growth
Reporting on the CRM system, providing sales forecasts and looking at market trends
Being a point of contact for OEM’s to discuss the solutions they require
