Control System Engineer

Belvedere, Kent + UK Site Work

We're looking for a skilled Control System Engineer to drive the design, development, and optimisation of sophisticated control systems for major UK power generation projects. You'll work directly with the Engineering Director, owning projects from early concept through to commissioning.

This is a hands‑on, high‑responsibility role for someone who thrives in technical environments and enjoys seeing projects through end‑to‑end.

What You'll Be Doing

Designing, developing, and implementing advanced control systems for large-scale power facilities
Leading PLC, SCADA, DCS and automation solutions
Managing projects from initial studies through to panel build, PLC software, SCADA programming and commissioning
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
Working closely with multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering outcomes
Engaging directly with clients to understand needs and deliver exceptional solutions
Mentoring junior engineers and helping grow team capability

What You Bring

Degree in Electrical, Control Systems or Automation Engineering
Proven experience delivering control engineering solutions on large UK power projects
Strong technical skills across PLCs, SCADA, DCS, industrial automation & industrial Ethernet
Allen Bradley experience highly desirable
Confident communicator with a problem‑solving mindset
Fully eligible to work in the UK
