Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Huddersfield (1 Day per Week from Home)
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum (DOE)
Sector: Automation & Special Purpose Machinery

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established automation and special purpose machinery business based in Huddersfield who are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Design Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering team delivering bespoke machinery and automation solutions. The role offers flexibility with 1 day per week working from home.

The Role:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical control systems and panel layouts for bespoke automation and machinery projects.

You will work closely with controls, mechanical and project teams to deliver complete engineered solutions from concept through to build and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:



Electrical design of control panels and machinery systems

*

Producing electrical schematics and layout drawings

*

Creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs)

*

Ensuring compliance with relevant electrical standards and regulations

*

Supporting the build and commissioning phases where required

*

Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers

Requirements:

*

Proven experience in electrical design within automation, robotics or special purpose machinery

*

Proficiency in EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical

*

Experience designing control panels and electrical systems

*

Good understanding of electrical standards and best practice

*

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
