Socode are proud to be partnering with a fast-growing engineering company that’s building automated inspection tools for some of the toughest environments in the world. You’ll be joining a highly skilled team, working on innovative robotics, inspection cameras, and monitoring systems for use in extreme conditions.

What will I be doing?
Working closely with the Principal Electronics Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the assembly and testing of electronic/electrical systems used in high-performance, field-deployable tools. Responsibilities include:

Component & Device Assembly

Assemble electronics and sub-systems including soldering, wiring, crimping, and mounting PCBs
Integrate components into complex assemblies with a high degree of care and accuracyTesting & Quality Control

Inspect, test, and calibrate systems to ensure functionality and reliability
Use tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and custom jigs to perform diagnostics and verificationProcess & Documentation

Follow detailed build instructions, schematics, and SOPs
Maintain accurate production records and support inventory tracking and stock management
What do I need to be successful?
Must-Haves

Technical diploma or equivalent experience in electronics or electrical assembly
Minimum 3 years’ experience assembling electronic products (wiring and cabling)
Proficient with soldering, wire prep, crimping, and basic electronic test equipment
Comfortable reading and interpreting schematics and technical documentation
Reliable communicator with good attention to detail
Legally eligible to work in the UKNice-to-Haves

IPC Certification (soldering/assembly standards)
Experience with inventory control or ERP systems
Fault-finding skills and experience debugging electronics in a production environmentInterested in the role? Then you can either:
