Finance Assistant

Location: Hybrid (Office-based in Yarnton during probation)
Salary: Competitive + Benefits

A leading innovator in motion capture and measurement technologies is looking to expand its finance team with the addition of a Finance Assistant. This organisation develops high-performance hardware and software solutions used across the entertainment, engineering, and life sciences industries—including film, gaming, biomechanics, and robotics.

Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role will be key in supporting the finance department’s day-to-day operations and month-end processes. You’ll need to be proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with more time expected in the office during key financial periods and while in probation.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable/Receivable:

Process, reconcile, and manage accounts payable across group subsidiaries

Support debt collection and accounts receivable

Manage and reconcile company credit card and expense claims

Record and track cash claims and reimbursements

Maintain accurate digital records and electronic filing systems

Bank and Cash:

Maintain cash books and perform reconciliations in multiple currencies

Log and communicate incoming payments

Enter financial data into the system accurately

Month-End Support:

Reconcile general ledger and bank accounts

Ensure expenditure is posted correctly

Assist with updating templates and supporting documentation

General Duties:

Assist with credit assessments and ledger postings

Undertake ad hoc analysis and support tasks across business units

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy finance role

Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Ability to manage time effectively and work independently

Desirable:

Experience using NetSuite or Salesforce

Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, PivotTables)
