Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable IT Teacher to join a growing department at an exciting time of development. The successful IT Teacher will teach across KS3 and KS4, delivering units on Computer Science, digital literacy, cybersecurity, and creative media. Students enjoy access to platforms like Python, Scratch, and Adobe Creative Cloud, and there is strong interest in both academic and vocational pathways.

As an IT Teacher, you will:

Design and deliver engaging lessons using real-world applications of IT and coding

Prepare students for Computer Science GCSE and digital BTEC/NCFE qualifications

Support a thriving extra-curricular offer including coding clubs, robotics, and e-safety events

Contribute to curriculum development and explore emerging technologies in education

What We’re Looking For

An ideal IT Teacher will have:

QTS and a degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, ICT, or a related field

Strong programming knowledge (e.g. Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS)

An enthusiasm for innovation, accessibility, and pupil engagement

A collaborative approach and openness to continuous learning
