Key Account Manager required for this market leading manufacturer of Garden Tools and Garden Equipment, field/home based looking after a Key Accounts on a National basis, this role will also include some new business as 30% of your role will be targeting Builders Merchants both Regional and National with a new business focus, if you have sold a tangible product into Retailors/Distributors or Builders Merchants then contact us TODAY!

The Role:

Your role is to sell the company's manufactured range of Garden Tools and Garden Equipment, the range is vast and includes Robotic Lawn Mowers, Watering Products, Pumps, Tree and Shrub Care plus Specialist Smart Systems.

This is a National role, you will be home based with regular site visits, some weeks you will be majority home based and some weeks majority field based.

70% of your role is Account Management looking after major retailors and distributors such as Tesco, B&M and Asda and 30% of your role will be new business focused selling into Builders Merchants on a National and Regional level,

Responsible for a turn over of circa £8M.

Deliver revenue, margin and share growth targets across categories

Lead long-term Joint Business Planning, range reviews, promotional activity and seasonal planning

Build collaborative, long-term relationships with buyers and key contacts

You will be dealing both at Head Office level and Depot level

Involved in New Product Development, Pricing, Discussing Range.

Identify and unlock new listings, spaces, and range opportunities

Spot and act on space gaps, new formats, and digital selling improvements Influence the customer to expand footprint across store and online platforms

Very much forecasting/planning and working in the future.

This is a hands on role with regular demonstrations and training events held by you.

The Person:

Must have previous National Account Management or Key Account Management Experience

It is vital that you have experience of selling to DIY Chains or Builders Merchants on a National level

Ideally you will have direct experience of dealing with Retailers/Builders Merchants

A very strong Account Manager

Demonstrable Proven Track Record 

The Package:

Up to £48k basic salary

OTE £57k
