Our client, operating in the Highways business sector, is seeking to recruit a Land Surveyor for a permanent position working on HS2 near Northampton!

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the Senior Land Surveyor in establishing and maintaining the site survey control network.
Undertaking land, topographic, hydrographic, and measured building surveys using specialist equipment like robotics and 3D scanners.
Analysing data using plans, maps, charts, and software such as AutoCAD, Trimble Business Centre, and GIS programs.
Preparing survey drawings with the Senior Land Surveyor and presenting data to clients.
Coordinating with Site Engineers regarding project priorities, changes of plans, deviations, and non-conformance rectifications.
Conducting setting out and as-built surveys, topographical and engineering surveys (Laser Scanner) and managing the registration and post-processing of Point Cloud Data.
Performing GNSS network surveying, precise traversing, and precise levelling for breakdown from primary survey control.
Managing drone surveys for earthwork measures.

Job Requirements:

HND/degree in Land Survey, Geomatics, or equivalent.
Experience within a similar role and with similar values.
Experience in preparing survey-related method statements and risk assessments.
Expert knowledge of Trimble total stations, levels, and GNSS receivers.
Excellent AutoCAD skills to produce 2D and 3D drawings.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with solid report writing and compilation abilities.
Proficient in using survey software like Trimble Business Centre.
Must hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
