NEW MANUFACTURING ENGINEER IN WHITSTABLE.

A leading manufacturer of a range of complex electronic applications for the military and aerospace industries are searching for a Production Manager to join their dynamic team based in Whitstable, Kent.

Our client is looking for a proactive Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing and forward-thinking manufacturing team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, improving production processes, and driving innovation through automation.

Responsibilities as an Manufacturing Engineer in Whitstable.

  • Support NPI Projects with robust process design and technical input.

  • Assist in risk analysis activities such as DFMEA and PFMEA.

  • Identify and implement process and equipment solutions, including supporting automation integration (robotics, PLC/HMI, vision systems, conveyors, assembly/test automation).

  • Design and validate tooling, fixtures and workstations.

  • conduct prototype and pre-production builds.

  • Support cost-benefit and ROI assessments for automation projects and define key performance metrics.

  • Assist in PPAP activities.

  • Support quality improvements and root cause investigations using tools such as 8D, 5 whys and ishikawa.

  • BEng in Mechanical Engineering or related scientific discipline.

  • Experience using 3D CAD (preferably Creo).
