Based in BristolAre you looking for a product design role that varies across different industries? This is a company that values its employees, and you’ll manage your own projects from concept right through to delivery. You would be working for a business specialising in the design, and manufacture of prototypes, for industries such as robotics, high-tech equipment and telecommunications. They have fantastic offices in Bristol, giving them space to grow, with a huge focus on investing in their team and their facilities.

They are looking to add a Senior Design Engineer to the team. Here you’ll be using CATIA, though experience with any 3D CAD package is fine, and you’ll be creating 3D models, detailed component drawings, as well as assembly drawings.

You will have strong mechanical intuition, and industrial design capability, allowing you to lead concept development. You will need to be comfortable talking to customers, getting to grips with their design projects. The Candidate: Senior Mechanical Engineer

The ideal candidate will be a proactive Engineer who looks for solutions to problems, and will have most of the following skills and experience:

4+ years’ experience in mechanical design, in a role such as Design Engineer, CAD Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer
Experience using CATIA, SolidWorks, Inventor, or a similar 3D CAD package.
Ability to think of your feet.
Excellent understanding and knowledge of manufacturing processes, prototyping and technical validation.
Confident in voicing your opinions and ideas, both within the team and to other departments
