Are you a mechanical design engineer with experience working in the automation industry, looking to join a company who provide the opportunity for hybrid working and excellent career progression?

This company have been established for over 25 years, working with big names such as Arla Foods and Hennesy, providing automated machinery solutions. They are partnered with technology providers such as KUKA, Bosch, and Siemens. The design team also produce bespoke automation machinery for a very broad range of manufacturers.

On offer is the opportunity to become a vital asset to the business and the design team. You will be working closely with the production team and shop floor to ensure all designed components are fitted properly and to spec. The ideal candidate will be using SolidWorks and CAD software to design and manufacture bespoke machinery to streamline manufacturing for the company's large client base.

This role would suit an experienced automation design engineer, looking to join a company who provide hybrid working with inhouse training to continuously reinvest in your career progression.

The role:

Design and develop bespoke automation machinery
Produce concepts and engineering drawings using SolidWorks
Prepare and present technical design reviews to stakeholders
Oversee prototype development, assembly, testing, and commissioning of equipment
Interact with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements / technical support
Assist the project management team with scheduling, cost estimation, and progress tracking

The person:

Degree in mechanical engineering or related field
Experience in mechanical design and automation machinery
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Draftsight)
