Product Design / Mechanical Engineering Lead

Oxford | £60,000 - £80,000 per annum | Permanent

Are you ready to lead product design at a rapidly scaling University of Oxford spin-out that's revolutionising spatial AI technology? We're working with an innovative company developing cutting-edge real-time solutions for construction and geospatial industries.

Responsibilities

  • Leading mechanical design of advanced handheld and robotic sensor systems

  • Driving product development from concept to production

  • Managing manufacturing and procurement processes

  • Leading and mentoring a growing engineering team

  • Working with cutting-edge multi-sensor fusion and positioning technology

    Requirements

    Essential:

  • 5+ years CAD design experience (SolidWorks, Fusion360, NX)

  • Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or Product Design

  • Expert mechanical engineering knowledge with electronics understanding

  • Manufacturing, production, or procurement experience

    Highly Desirable:

  • Consumer/industrial product design experience

  • Team leadership experience

  • Startup environment experience

  • Ambition for career growth in a scaling company
