Location: Coventry CV2
Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 16:00, Friday 07:00 - 11:00 (38 hours/week)
Salary: ?14.00 per hour

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Robot Welder Operator to join our busy and well-established manufacturing team in Coventry. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position working on high-quality chassis and structural components for the automotive aftermarket. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating robotic welding cells, ensuring precision, consistency, and quality output. You'll play a key role in supporting our trusted supply chain by programming, monitoring, and maintaining robotic welders in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Duties:

  • Operate and monitor robotic welding equipment to produce chassis and structural assemblies.
  • Set up and adjust welding robots and associated machinery to meet production schedules.
  • Work from technical drawings, work instructions, and programming to ensure weld accuracy and quality.
  • Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections, identifying and resolving defects or deviations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of welding robots and ancillary equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment in compliance with company health and safety policies.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider production team to optimise workflow and minimise downtime.
  • Report production progress, issues, and maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.

    Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience operating robotic welding cells, ideally in automotive or heavy fabrication environments.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, including MIG welding and robotics programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality welds.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a manufacturing setting.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to working consistent hours.
  • Willingness to complete a temporary probation period before permanent hire.
