Jackson Hogg is delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join an innovative engineering organisation specialising in advanced subsea robotic systems and offshore technology.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work within a highly collaborative R&D team contributing to the design and development of next-generation subsea vehicles and complex offshore subsystems operating in some of the most challenging environments on the planet. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in concept generation, engineering analysis, and prototype development for advanced robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities



Design and develop innovative mechanical systems and subsystems as a Senior Mechanical Engineer within a specialist R&D team

*

Deliver robust engineering designs supported by calculations, analysis, and technical justification

*

Lead and contribute to design reviews, ensuring engineering quality and technical integrity

*

Support prototype build, testing, and evaluation of new technologies and mechanical assemblies

*

Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external partners to develop advanced solutions

Requirements

*

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline

*

Extensive experience working as a Mechanical Engineer or Senior Mechanical Engineer within an engineering or product development environment

*

Strong experience using 3D CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor or similar

*

Experience carrying out engineering calculations and analysis using tools such as Mathcad

*

Proven experience designing complex mechanical systems, machinery, vehicles, or engineered structures
