We are working in partnership with a well-established multidisciplinary design consultancy in London that is looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to support the continued growth of its structural team.

Our client delivers geotechnical & structural engineering, building services and project management across a diverse range of sectors including residential, commercial, education and mixed-use developments. With a strong project pipeline and a collaborative in-house design environment, this is an excellent opportunity to take on a key technical role within a growing business.

The Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will take technical ownership of projects from concept through to completion, leading design delivery and mentoring junior team members.

You will play an integral role within a multidisciplinary setting, working closely with architects, civil engineers and external consultants to deliver coordinated, high-quality schemes.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading structural design in steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry

Managing project delivery, programmes and client expectations

Producing and reviewing calculations, drawings and technical reports

Attending and leading design meetings with clients and stakeholders

Mentoring and supporting graduate and intermediate engineers

Assisting with fee proposals and resource planning (where appropriate)

About You

We are keen to speak with experienced Structural Engineers who have:

5+ years’ experience within a UK consultancy environment

A strong background in building structures design

Experience managing projects and liaising directly with clients

Proficiency with industry software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, ETABS, Robot or similar

Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and UK Building Regulations

Chartered status (IStructE/ICE) or actively working toward Chartership
