We are looking for a Site Engineer to support the delivery of multiple civil engineering projects in the region. This role is responsible for setting out works accurately to the contract drawings, establishing level and survey controls, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently. The Site Engineer will keep clear site records, help resolve technical issues, and work closely with the site team to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities



Establish level and survey controls for projects

Set out works in line with drawings and specifications, with regular checks

*

Maintain accurate site records, diaries, drawing registers, and allocation sheets

*

Prepare procurement schedules and coordinate with procurement to secure resources

*

Produce Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Task Briefings, and 2-week lookaheads

*

Identify and resolve unexpected technical issues

*

Promote safe working practices and environmental compliance on site

*

Ensure work is completed to required quality standards and company procedures

*

Spot and suggest value engineering opportunities and apply best practice

Essential

*

Experience in setting out on civil engineering projects

*

Good knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and regulations

*

Skilled in using robotic total stations or EDM instruments

*

HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

*

Strong communication and organisational skills

*

Self-motivated and results-focused with a positive attitude

Desirable

*

Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

*

Temporary Works Coordinator knowledge

*

Valid CSCS card

*

Cable avoidance training

*

First Aid trained

*

NEBOSH or IOSH certification
