Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer
Location: Redditch, UK (Hybrid Working Considered)

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Working Hours: 39.2 hours per week

Our client is a globally recognised leader in industrial electrical technologies, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join their UK team. The role is ideal for a driven individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, technical environment with a strong customer focus.

The Role

As an Internal Technical Sales Engineer, you will play a vital role in managing sales enquiries, developing technical solutions, and supporting clients with high-quality, tailored advice.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and triage incoming sales enquiries.

Create and issue technical and commercial offers.

Interpret customer specifications and propose fit-for-purpose technical solutions.

Follow up on enquiries and ensure a smooth handover of orders.

Own and resolve customer queries efficiently, including pricing, stock availability, and alternative solutions.

Liaise with global colleagues across multiple departments and facilities.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Support technical meetings, training sessions, and client visits when required.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will have:

A strong working knowledge of Electric Motors, Geared Motors, Variable Speed Drives, and related industrial automation/power transmission equipment.

A minimum ONC (or equivalent) qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

At least 3 years of experience in a technical sales or internal sales engineering position.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The ability to stay composed under pressure and meet key performance targets.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a bonus.

A proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
