Electromechanical Engineer

Do you enjoy solving real engineering problems rather than designing the same product every day?

Would you like to work on advanced motion control systems used across aerospace, defence, semiconductor manufacturing, scientific research, industrial automation, motorsport and photonics?

Our client is a Our client is a well-established engineering business specialising in advanced electromechanical systems and motion control solutions for high-technology industries.

This is a varied applications engineering role where no two projects are the same.

The Role

Working closely with customers, suppliers and the internal engineering team, you will help design and deliver complete motion control solutions from initial concept through to manufacture, integration and customer support.

Responsibilities include:

* Designing complete electromechanical motion systems.

* Supporting customers with product selection and technical solutions.

* Producing 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.

* Creating Bills of Materials and engineering documentation.

* Supporting production, assembly, testing and commissioning activities.

* Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

* Working with servo systems, linear motion, precision mechanics and control technologies.

We're looking for engineers with experience in areas such as:

* Electromechanical engineering

* Motion control

* Automation

* Mechatronics

* Machine design

* Precision engineering

You should ideally have:

* HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.

* Experience using SolidWorks.

* Experience producing engineering drawings and BOMs.

* An understanding of electrical schematics.

* Practical hands-on engineering and fault-finding experience.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.

Experience with servo drives, stepper motors, linear motion, PLCs, machine safety, industrial networking or control cabinets would be advantageous but is not essential.
