Your role

We are seeking an Engagement Manager with consulting and/or engineering experience to join Capgemini Engineering. We are looking to attract candidates with a track record of delivering projects and bids in complex engineering, business or technological transformation projects.

As an Engagement Manager, you will lead a blended team of engineering SMEs and consultants to deliver against client requirements and identify solutions to their business problems. This will involve managing bid activities, and mobilising and delivering projects that will lead to the convergence of physical and digital worlds through technology, engineering and manufacturing expertise.

Your responsibilities will include:

Project delivery and management

Bid management

Project planning, quality and controls

Contract and scope management

Financial monitoring and reporting

Revenue and margin management and improvement

Client liaison

Tracking and reporting progress to time, cost and quality

Risk management

Quality control

Continuous process improvement

Problem resolution

Resource allocation

Client satisfaction

Your profile

  • Extensive experience in delivering engineering, manufacturing, and/or business or technological change and transformation projects.

  • Demonstrable experience of consultancy or collaboration with clients.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in project, programme or bid management, with at least 2 years leading complex, multi-functional teams to time, cost and quality objectives.

  • Ability to work with clients to derive solutions from uncertain requirements.

  • Proficiency with project finances, revenue recognition, margin improvement, risk management and upward reporting.

  • Proven ability to plan and organise projects effectively, with excellent attention to detail.

  • A developed understanding of business and finance, project planning and scheduling, budgeting and cost management, revenue recognition and contract management.

  • Must be a Sole UK National and able to obtain MOD SC clearance.

    Preferable

    Degree qualified or equivalent in an engineering or management discipline, or experience working in complex engineering/manufacturing/digital transformation environments.

    Experience of delivering complex projects across Aerospace & Defence sectors.

    Experience with Siemens engineering toolsets.

    Experience working in a consultancy organisation.
