What our client is offering for the successful Fabricator:

• £33,000 P/A
• Monday to Thursday 7.45 AM to 4.30 PM and Friday 7.45 AM to 12.30 PM (Days)
• Permanent position

The Role – Fabricator

• Working closely with the design team to manufacture and build new tooling, jigs and fixtures
• Producing prototype components and supporting the development of new agricultural machinery
• Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Carrying out high-quality MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel components
• Repairing and maintaining existing jigs, fixtures and press tools
• Designing and building jigs to support robotic welding processes
• Identifying and implementing improvements to fabrication and assembly processes
• Ensuring all work is completed to high standards of quality, safety and efficiency

What our client is looking for in a successful Fabricator

• HNC/ONC in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a completed engineering apprenticeship –ESSENTIAL
• Previous experience as a Fabricator, Jig Maker, Toolmaker, Prototype Fabricator, or similar –ESSENTIAL
• Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills working with mild steel –ESSENTIAL
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings –ESSENTIAL
• Experience producing tooling, jigs and fixtures –ESSENTIAL
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
