Laboratory Technician - R&D

Location: Bracknell (Full time on-site)
Pay Rate: £18-20.00 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Laboratory Technician to join the R&D team of my clients industrial manufacturing organisation.

You'll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking group driving innovation in adhesive technologies - supporting Application Engineers, the wider organisation, and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct laboratory testing on industrial tapes and adhesives, assessing performance under various conditions.
Perform tensile, peel, shear, and mechanical testing to industry standards.
Support and perform equipment calibration and routine maintenance to ensure test accuracy and reliability.
Contribute to the development and optimisation of work and process parameters.
Maintain a safe, efficient, and well-documented laboratory environment.
Record, analyse, and report test data with precision and integrity.
Collaborate with engineers to support research, development, and product improvement initiatives.About You:

Technically qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g., Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field).
Hands-on, practical, and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy and relevant analytical skills
Experienced or familiar with tensile testing and laboratory calibration procedures.
Keen interest in automation, robotics, and advanced testing methods.
Committed to maintaining high standards of safety and data accuracy.
