💻 Hybrid (2 days WFH)
💰 £42,000 - £47,000 (With opportunities to increase by 14%) + 7.5% bonus

Are you ready to lead automation projects with real autonomy and impact?
Join a close-knit team of 8 where you'll design, programme and optimise advanced systems for world class manufacturing environments?

We are working exclusivley with a R&D facility in Bedford who are excited to be recruiting for a Senior Automation Engineer for the department. Within this role you will be working on projects that will optomise production and decrease the need for manual human intervention across the production facility.

Identifying opportunities for automation
Leading projects
Write coding (it will mostly be Block coding, but lots of support from the external vendor they work with)
Programming robots
Testing coding
Trouble-shooting
Modifying coding
Working with the external OEMs to learn about the Robots that they have built and their current coding
Software: PLC (mostly PCS 7), SCADA, Labview, Python

The role is highly autonomous and you will be managing your own diary depending on the projects, projects may require you to work on site 5 days a week and some may give you the flexibilty to work from home 2 days a week.

I am looking to connect with candidates who have previous experience as an Automation Engineer within a manufacturing environment.

Ideally you will hold a Degree within Engineering

Experience with managing multiple projects
