Site Engineer – Commercial OPW – Limerick

We are currently partnering with a Tier 1 Contractor with presence across Ireland who are now embarking on a €(phone number removed) OPW project in Limerick. For this project they are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team ensuring timely delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Setting Out & Dimensional Control: Execute precise setting out for structural elements, services, drainage, and external works using robotic total stations and GPS, ensuring full alignment with OPW specifications and consultant drawings.

  • Concrete & Structural Works Supervision: Oversee the installation of reinforcement, formwork, and concrete pours for foundations, floor slabs, and structural frames, ensuring works meet both engineering and OPW quality standards.

  • Coordination with Stakeholders: Liaise daily with site management, subcontractors, design teams, and client representatives (including OPW inspectors) to ensure technical queries are addressed and construction is progressing to programme.

  • Quality & Compliance Management: Maintain detailed site records including setting out logs, concrete pour sheets, material inspections, and QA checklists; ensure compliance with BCAR (Building Control Amendment Regulations) and OPW procedures.

  • Health & Safety Support: Actively promote and enforce site safety standards in line with main contractor policies and public sector project requirements, supporting toolbox talks and site audits as needed.

    Requirements

    Must have degree level qualification or equivalent trades background

    Must have 3+ years’ experience working at site level on construction projects

    Must have Irish Passport or RTW in Ireland

    Benefits

    €65,000 - €70,000 per annum + Vehicle + Package
