Electrical Maintenance Engineer

PSI Talent is delighted to announce a collaboration with an internationally renowned manufacturing company located in Telford. With ongoing expansion and an increased workload, this marks an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised organisation.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

As a Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in executing reactive, preventative, and proactive maintenance tasks for onsite electrical equipment.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Key Duties:

  • Provide exceptional electrical engineering support to the production team, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Execute planned maintenance duties with a proactive approach.

  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, maintain clear communication with relevant parties, and efficiently resolve issues.

  • Install electrical machinery with precision.

  • Troubleshoot PLCs, Industrial Control systems, and relay control circuits.

  • Proficiently work with the latest PLC technology, performing modifications and fault finding.

  • Interpret advanced electrical drawings.

  • Work with various drives and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, logging all breakdowns and servicing work.

  • Participate in a 1 in 3 on-call rota.

    Electrical Maintenance Engineer Desired Experience:

  • Strong electrical knowledge – Essential.

  • Experience with equipment such as: hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, flow wrappers, and robots

  • Proficiency in PLCs – fault finding, basic programming, trouble shooting

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field – Essential.

  • 17th or 18th edition - Essential

    Electrical Maintenance Engineer Benefits & Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday rotating 07:00 – 16:00 / 14:00 – 22:00

  • Friday rotating 07:00 – 16:00 / 10:00 – 18:00

  • 20 days, plus Bank Holidays

  • Pension, Full Company Sick Pay, Free onsite Car Parking, Employee Recognition Incentives
