Location: Preston, Lancashire, UK
Salary: £50,000 per year
Hours: Full-time, Contis 4 on 4 off 12 hour days and nights
Contract: Permanent

Role Overview

We are seeking aMulti-Skilled Engineer to join our busy manufacturing site. You will be responsible formaintaining, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control systems across production equipment to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry outplanned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all plant machinery.

  • Diagnose and repair faults inmechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

  • Work with PLCs and control systems to troubleshoot automation and production line issues.

  • Install, commission, and modify equipment as required.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance withhealth & safety regulations and company procedures.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as amulti-skilled engineer in manufacturing/industrial environments.

  • Strongmechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.

  • Experience withPLCs, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and production machinery.

  • Ability to readtechnical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

  • Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
