This is an exciting opportunity for an Internal Sales Engineer to be part of a leading automation technology business, supporting customers with innovative industrial solutions across a wide range of applications.

This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive and customer focused Engineer with a background in a technical role, who enjoys building relationships and delivering excellent customer service.

Internal Sales Engineer – The Role:

Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing sales support and technical guidance

Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to order fulfilment and delivery

Prepare technical product quotations and system configurations

Proactively manage and develop the sales opportunity pipeline alongside the field sales team

Drive office-based sales campaigns to generate new business opportunities

Coordinate with order processing, logistics, finance and customer service teams to ensure smooth project delivery

Respond promptly to customer enquiries and provide high levels of customer support

Maintain accurate sales records, quotations and reports using CRM and ERP systems

Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support long-term business growth

Internal Sales Engineer – What We're Looking For:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Machinery, Physics or a related discipline

Minimum 3 years' experience in inside sales, technical sales or customer-facing technical support

Experience within industrial automation, machinery or technical product sales would be advantageous

Strong understanding of commercial sales processes and customer relationship management

Experience preparing quotations and technical proposals ideal

Knowledge of CRM/ERP systems such as Salesforce, SAP or similar

Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple opportunities and prioritise workloads effectively

A proactive, customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail
